First off, the lacing is serious, with logo metal eyelets all the way to the top of the shaft. Fortunately, YKK® locking inside zippers mean you can slip-in and kick them off in no time. The toe is round and smooth. An extra layer of leather is placed on the heel's counter. A snugging strap is located at the top of the shaft, along with a pull-on loop. A Harley-Davidson® metal Bar & Shield® badge adorns the outside face of the shaft. The boots are made with full-grain heat resistant leather uppers, and have a full-length mesh lining. With rubber outsoles, rated best for slip and oil resistance, they are comfortable for all day riding, walking, or hiking. The boots also feature TFL COOL SYSTEMS® technology, which restricts the temperature of black leather when exposed to sun radiation for improved thermal comfort. Translated, that means your feet stay cool even in direct sunshine. The street side sole has a grippy tread design and a bright Harley® orange Bar & Shield is embedded in the instep. The boot's sole, insole and upper are bound using resoleable Goodyear® Welt construction processes, the most labor intensive and durable construction method available.
