TecTuff® is even more durable than leather, and is highly abrasion, stain, and oil resistant. The round toe has an extra layer for long-term wear, and a layer is strategically placed on the toe for shifting protection. The bottom lace eyelets have an additional leather layer. The boots also have PORON® ankle protection. PORON® is a top choice for extreme impact protection. It's built into the ankle area and is comfortable, flexible and lightweight while still absorbing more than 90% of energy when impacted at high strain rates. The boots have 4-pairs of logo eyelets topped with 2-pairs of speed-hooks for a fast getaway. The bottom lace has a Harley-Davidson® metal badge. A logo front crossing strap buckles to the outside with a logo buckle. A Bar & Shield® badge is placed at the top of the shaft. The shaft is topped with a cushion rib to fight fatigue while riding or walking. A full-length mesh lining cradles your foot with each step. The process of donning and doffing the boots is made easy with YKK® locking inside zippers, the best zippers available. Rubber outsoles with EVA inserts are used under the heel and toe, which means these boots are made for an easy and comfortable stride. The outsoles are rated “BEST” for abrasion and oil resistance. The street-side soles has bright Harley® orange tread elements and a Bar & Shield® logo is also embedded on the instep. The boot's sole, insole and upper are bound using resoleable Goodyear® Welt construction processes, the most labor intensive and durable construction method available.
