Reminiscent of the logger style boot tread, the Bladen boots has the attributes of all great boots, plus some serious enhancements. First off, the upper leather is heat resistant, featuring TFL COOL SYSTEMS® technology, which restricts the temperature of black leather when exposed to sun radiation for improved thermal comfort. Compared to traditional black leather, TFL COOL vastly reduces the boot's surface temperature, which means cool and dry feet and socks. Second, shin comfort is improved with elastic gussets at the top of the shaft. With each stride, the boots flex forward as the heel lifts off the ground. As the foot swings forward and the heel strikes the ground, the gussets flex back to complete a comfortable step. The boots also feature a smooth round toe with a single front cross strap terminated with a metal logo buckle. The boot's counter is reinforced with an additional layer of leather embellished with rivets. A metal Bar & Shield® badge is positioned just below the V of the gusset. These features all come together to produce a boot that is ready for biking, standing or walking. Donning and doffing is made easy with YKK® locking inside facing zippers, in addition to the pull-on loop which is placed at the top of the shaft. The boots are made with full-grain leather uppers with a full-length mesh lining. The boot's sole, insole and upper are bound using resoleable Goodyear® Welt construction processes, the most labor intensive and durable construction method available. Rubber outsoles lighten your stride thereby reducing fatigue if the day is extended. The sole has tread elements that a deep and grippy.
